Life in Kagoshima
Prabhu, Nepal
Currently, I am studying in the morning intermediate level class. My class has students from Nepal, Vietnam, Korea, China, and the USA. Memorizing all the Kanji is hard, but I'm having a good time studying Japanese. I will be entering a specialty school in Tokyo next year.
We have homework every day, so I usually study in my dormitory room after class. At night, I am working at a Japanese restaurant. My teacher helped me find this job. Thanks to the kindness of everyone at work, I am now able to make Japanese cuisine pretty well. My future dream is to one day open a business in Nepal.
Giap, Vietnam
I was majoring in IT at college. I am living in an apartment by school. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to school every day. My teacher helped me find my apartment. The rent is about 30,000 yen a month. At night time, I am working at a very popular ramen shop. When I graduate from this school, I plan to attend graduate school here in Japan.
Park, Korea
I moved to Kyushu Japanese Language School from Japanese School in Tokyo this year. Now I am studying for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test in a class for intermediate level and I am working at SUSHI restaurant. I stay in a dormitory with a roommate to save money. I will be entering University in Kagoshima.I didn't have much to worry about University and finding a part time job, as our school's teachers helped me every step along the way.
I like living here because, In Tokyo I saw many friends who gave up the idea of entering University or getting a job in Japan. I will work hard to reach my goal and achieve my dreams here!
Ko, China
I came here from Hunan, China. This picture is of me and my homeroom teacher Fujisaki-sensei. Kagoshima is relatively small, but I have made a lot of good friends. I am currently studying in the advanced class. After school I am doing a part-time job at a butcher's shop right by our school. At work, everyone is very nice, and we only speak in Japanese. I am living in the female dormitory, which is about 3 minutes walking distance from school. I really like cooking, so I enjoy calling up friends at having parties in my room.
